Officer HR, WRAP
WWF - Pakistan

Reporting to : Manager People Development
Grade/Title/No of Positions : C3/Officer/01
Duty Station : Islamabad/Gilgit/Abbottabad
Duration / Type of Contract : Long-term
Work Week : 5 days [Monday to Friday] 40 hrs/week
Work Hours : 0830 hrs to 1715 hrs

Duties and Responsibilities
Pre-boarding & Onboarding
1. Following the Recruitment Policy, ensuring smooth navigation of candidates across different stages of the hiring process.
2. Guiding new hires on onboarding process, following induction as per the defined schedule (first four weeks), ensuring their smooth assimilation in the organization’s culture.


Training and Development
1. Support in employee training needs assessment and implementation of the Annual Training Plan
2. Assist in implementation of Capacity Building of Successors, High Potentials and Young Professional
3. Assist in Team Building as per the annual team building strategy
4. Assist in organizing in-house, individual and online trainings (e-Campus and other platforms) and maintain records

HR Records & Documentation
1. Validate joining documents during joining. Share employee documents of each employee as per the defined checklist with Head Office
2. Prepare contracts and experience certificates for employees, interns and volunteers
3. Manage the entire documentation of the employee life cycle, including but not limited to offer letters, contracts, probation extensions, transfers, appraisals and increments, awards and rewards.

Employee Exit
1. Manage the employee separation process for all exiting staff, ensuring their smooth exit and transition.

2. Guide the exiting staff on online exit process and ensuring all process checkpoints are met as per the process.

Employee Relations
1. Build strong relationships with the key stakeholders in line functions to render HR guidance and support when needed.
2. Manage and resolve employee grievances and issues.
3. Conducting/organizing exit interviews and managing the feedback.
4. Converting feedback from exit interactions into actionable insights through analysis and sharing with Head of HR

HR Policy
1. Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation, as required to in-line functions.
2. Contribute to review and iterations of the existing policies as per changing requirements.
3. Support the development of new policies and procedures as per the organization’s needs.

Other Tasks
1. Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures; Suggest improvements and record related feedback of Employees;
2. Organize monthly Open House Session for Islamabad Office and compile meeting minutes
3. Conduct HR sessions for fundraising campaigns
4. Deliver Brown Bag Sessions as and when required
5. Responsible for drafting – contracts, memos, certificates(interns/volunteers/employees)
6. Announce learning/scholarship opportunities etc.;
7. HR tasks/projects as required, in agreement with the Manager People Development

Selection Criteria

Education, Experience & Working Knowledge
● 04 Years Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management is preferred
● At least 01 year of relevant experience is desirable preferably in a reputable international NGO;
● Experience of working in a multicultural / multinational environment;
● knowledge of the nature-based solutions and ecosystem-based adaptation is a plus;
● Strong commitment to conservation and development issues is preferred;

Skills and Abilities
● Excellent diplomatic and communication skills, including an ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of individuals within and outside the WWF Network;
● Fluency in oral and written English is essential. Proficiency in local languages (UrduSindhi, Balochi and Pashto) will be preferred;
● Exceptional Presentation Skills; Attention to detail, diplomacy and discretion;

● Ability to handle change and uncertainty;
● Proficiency in the use of computer office applications on word processing, spreadsheet and presentation
● Orderly approach, strong time management skills with ability to multitask and committed to maintain delicate balance of employees concerns whil keeping management practices on top.
● Ability to manage and deliver results, a good team player while maintaining high level of confidentiality and integrity with ability to handle issues that fall under ‘grey area’.
